Pizza Hut in the UK is changing its name to Pasta Hut.
While the chain will continue to sell pizzas, their healthier pasta dishes are taking a more prominent role in the restaurants. They are also launching a new, healthier menu.
In order to meet targets set by the UK Food Standards Agency, Pizza Hut (or is that Pasta Hut?) are reducing salt in their foods over the next three years. They have stop using hydrogenated vegetable oils and there is an ongoing programme to remove saturated fat. The children’s menu now includes ‘hidden vegetables’ and a complimentary side salad.
